Generator Technician - Beaumont at Enchanted Rock

Remote in Beaumont, TX. Enchanted Rock is a leader and innovator of Electrical Resiliency-As-A-Service. Our dual-purpose microgrids protect companies, critical infrastructure, and communities from power outages, delivering reliable, on-demand electricity and supporting business continuity.

The position reports to the Area Manager and is focused on maintenance and operation of Microgrid generators to meet customer requirements for on-demand electricity.

• Perform skilled repairs of Volvo Penta Diesel Engines (16 L), Power Solutions International (21.9 L) and Marathon generator ends, and related voltage control and synchronization equipment.
• Learn and use manufacturer-specific software to troubleshoot and diagnose engine and control-system problems.
• Coordinate with Equipment manufacturers and Area Managers for technical support and maintenance planning.
• Perform scheduled, preventive, or predictive generator maintenance tasks and troubleshoot/repair as needed.
• Conduct periodic inspections to identify maintenance needs.
• Work in potentially confined spaces with varying temperatures and conditions.
• Follow company procedures for verbal/written communications and use current technology for documentation and research.
• Ensure safe operation of electrical equipment by adhering to company and industry standards.
• Safely prepare, operate, and maintain motor vehicles for company business.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management.

• Volvo Penta Diesel Engine experience
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

• Experience – at least 3 years Mechanical and/or Electrical
• Education – College or equivalent training (e.g., military)
• Ability to operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with traffic laws
• Must pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in work
• Computer skills and ability to use software, databases, and automated systems
• Flexibility to work on a rotating on-call schedule; evenings, weekends, and/or holidays
• Must be able to stand for long periods, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Integrity and ability to work with or without supervision
