- Efficiently and safely operate a variety of specialized machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, ensuring the proper selection, set up, and operation of cranes, lifts, and hoists.
- Inspect and assess ground conditions and potential overhead obstructions.
- Maintain equipment through daily inspections, routine maintenance, and minor repairs.
- Maintain logs and records of operational activities.
- Maintain visual and radio communications with ground operators, responding to questions and instructions promptly.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years experience working with rough terrain cranes, carry decks, crawlers, and mobile cranes.
- Class A CDL.
- Successful post‑offer drug and physical screens.
- Dependable and reliable with flexibility to work overtime when necessary.
- Maintain a current NCCCO Crane Operators License for qualified equipment.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, materials, or instructions.
- Good verbal and written communication skills for instructions, safety regulations, and record maintenance.
- Strong ability to work well within a team environment.
- Strong depth perception and quick reaction time.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 65 lbs. occasionally and 50 lbs. regularly.
- Visual capabilities to follow hand signals and maintain logs.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in a variety of weather, including extreme heat and cold.
