Repair and Maintenance Tech

Southeast Texas HR is seeking a Repair and Maintenance Technician to join our team at a Manufacturing Facility in Beaumont, TX. This will be 5 to 7 days per week, 12 hour days, and pay will be $25+ DOE per hour. This is a temp-to-hire position. You will be repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems, production machines, and equipment using testing instruments, hand and power tools, and precision-measuring instruments.

Responsibilities will include:

• Performing routine maintenance on boilers, such as replacing burners or hoses, installing replacement parts, or reinforcingstructural weaknesses to ensure optimal boiler efficiency.
• Dismantling machines, equipment, or devices toaccess and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
• Repairing machines, equipment, or structures,using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment suchas precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
• Diagnosing mechanical problems and determining how to correct them, checking blueprints, repairing manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.

To be considered for this position you
must
meet the following requirements:

• Ability to stand for 12 hours per shift.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• 2 or more years of experience in Repair and Maintenance of industrial equipment.
• Prefer experience in welding.
• Ability to pass pre-employment requirements including a drug test.
• MUST have lace-up steel toed boots, all other PPE will be provided.
