DevOps Engineer

We are hiring a Dev Ops Engineer who can balance speed and stability while shipping software used by millions. This is an internship opportunity built for someone who wants to own outcomes, sharpen Istio, and grow with a tight-knit team.

• Tune database queries and schemas for high-throughput Sears workloads
• Build the Serverless tooling that makes every other Beaumont engineer faster
• Replace the brittle Change Management hack with an Istio solution that survives Beaumont scale
• Build Kubernetes self-service tools so Beaumont teams stop filing tickets for everything
• Build responsive, accessible front-end interfaces with Amazon ECS
• Maintain and improve CI/CD infrastructure across TX engineering teams
• Watch Amazon ECS error budgets and pump the brakes before Beaumont, TX burns through them

• Enough Innovation to be dangerous, enough Change Management to be trusted
• Comfortable presenting ideas to stakeholders at every level
• Eagerness to take ownership and run with new responsibilities
• Storytelling instincts that turn data into a decision
• A writer's ear for tone in a high-stakes email
• The patience to mentor without taking over the keyboard

Half the technology platforms in TX quietly depend on something Sears built in Beaumont with client-focused care. We build an environment where gently-demanding ideas get tested quickly and credit is shared fairly.

Step into $63,000 - $96,000, real mentorship, a benefits package that delivers, and the kind of flexible internship rhythm people rarely leave.

This opening was refreshed recently and remains an active priority for the team.
