Position Description
Immediate opening for a Dedicated SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver. We are looking for the right trucker to join us at Ryder in Beaumont, TX.

- Weekly average: $1,050
- Hourly Pay: $24.50 per hour
- Hours per Week: 42 + average
- Paid Training
- Schedule:
4 day work week, 4 on 4 off - Shift rotates AM & PM
- Trucks are three years or newer.
- Ryder Drivers service the route, not the truck.
- 24/7 roadside maintenance by a Ryder trained technician and fuelled at over 800 maintenance facilities.
- Route:
Local Home Daily - Yard Position - No deliveries. - Yard Driver experience highly preferred.
- Only leave yard for fuel.
- No freight, no touch, yard work.
- Paid Time Off starts at Day 1 – 80 hours accrued in 1st year.

- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Pass a Ryder drug test.
- Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from last 3 years.
- Pass a DOT physical.
- Pass a Ryder road test.
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
- Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle:
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.
Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
Responsibilities- This position is primarily responsible for safely handling and maneuvering tractor-trailers on the yard and within an area on public roads.
- Compliance with safety & DOT regulations, continuous training, and customer service.
- Ensuring compliance with federal/state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines.
- Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards.
- Maintaining accurate records and logs.
- Maintaining accurate move and yard inventory records.
- Other tasks as assigned.
