Location:
Beaver Dam, WI. This position is based out of our Beaver Dam, WI location.
- Operate machinery and supply the line with products per customer specifications.
- Ensure all work activities meet high standards for quality and safety, and follow applicable food safety requirements for an accident-free workplace.
- Verify conformance to customer specifications, including proper application of ingredients/materials.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and make adjustments to run production efficiently.
- Record downtime accurately and maintain required paperwork.
- Maintain machinery in a sanitary condition and perform housekeeping in the area.
- Suggest measures to improve methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Adhere to company policies and GMPs; use required PPE as assigned.
- Follow verbal instructions from the Shift Supervisor and Lead person; work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Notify management of any Food/People Safety or Food Quality concerns.
- Set up and break down machinery and complete tasks as assigned or requested.
- High school, GED, or equivalent.
- One to three months of food manufacturing or packaging experience.
- Reliable and punctual; able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work overtime when scheduled.
- Effective communication with diverse individuals within the plant.
- Ability to read and write standard information for company documents.
- Mathematical ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in units of measure (pounds, ounces, grams, etc.).
Exposed to moving equipment in the production area. The work environment is cold and may involve wet and/or humid conditions during sanitation.
Physical DemandsAbility to stand for the duration of the shift; use hands to handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms; frequent walking; occasional sitting, climbing or balancing; kneeling or crouching. Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Hearing protection may be required.
