American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with WI or compact license and 2+ years of OR experience for a day-shift assignment requiring weekend call rotation.

• Operating Room unit assignment
• Day shift, 4x8-hour shifts, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• No scheduled weekends but weekend call required (currently 1 in
  4)
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Floating required as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Cerner charting system used, experience preferred

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required within General Surgery, Cataracts, Robotics, Orthopedics, and GYN specialties
• 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skills in gynecological, orthopedic, general surgery, and robotic surgical procedures preferred
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and conscious sedation monitoring preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred

• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Pass/fail telemetry exam required prior to start with strict passing criteria for adult and pediatric rhythm identification
• Up to two attempts allowed for telemetry exam, with a third attempt requiring completion of a cardiac interpretation review course
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
• RTO cannot be requested during orientation week and should be kept to a minimum
• Prior UW Health staff must have a separation period of 18 months before returning as a traveler
• Free onsite parking available
