American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring WI or compact RN license, ACLS/BLS certification, and prior med/surg and PCU experience.

• 12-hour day shift schedule from
• Weekend rotation required with every other holiday coverage
• Standby call required as needed
• Unit cares for occasional ICU/PCU patients with all acuity types and ratios
• Patient ratios range from 1:3 to 1:6
• Cerner charting system used
• Floating required as needed
• 48-hour weekly contract available for candidates willing to work more weekends

• Active WI RN license or compact license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in med/surg and PCU required
• Inpatient RN travelers must have 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
• First-time travelers must have more than 5 years of RN experience
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to assignment start
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions

• Care for ICU/PCU patients across varying acuity levels
• Prior charge experience preferred
• 1 year of recent PCU or ICU experience is ideal
• Teaching hospital and trauma hospital experience preferred
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• RTO cannot be requested during orientation week, and should be kept to a minimum
• Former UW Health staff must be separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a travelers
• Free onsite parking available
