American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a WI or Compact RN license and at least two years of combined adult/pediatric ER experience.

• Work in a combined Adult/Pediatric General Emergency Department
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from , with potential for 4x12s and assignments up to 26 weeks
• Weekend rotation and every other holiday required
• Floating required as needed
• Preferred charting system is Cerner
• Performs cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition
• Manages patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Provides triage and uses isolation precautions/PPE

• Active WI RN license or Compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (AHA only) required
• NIHSS and TNCC certifications preferred
• Minimum two years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years required
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting, including adult and pediatric rhythm identification
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with central line care/management required
• Preferred experience with arterial line management and blood product administration
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients
• Able to interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Experience administering continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors
• Preferred experience with procedural sedation administration/monitoring

• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
• RTO cannot be requested during orientation week and should be kept to a minimum
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Previous UW Health staff must be separated from the facility for 18 months before returning as a traveler
• Free onsite parking available
