American Traveler is seeking an ICU RN with WI or compact license and med/surg/PCU experience for a night shift travel assignment with weekend rotation.

• ICU unit caring for occasional ICU/PCU overflow patients across all acuity types and ratios
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:30 to 07:00
• Patient ratios typically 1:3-6
• Weekend rotation required with every other holiday
• Standby call required as needed
• Floating required as needed
• Uses Cerner charting system
• 48-hour weekly contract may be considered for candidates willing to work more weekends

• Active WI RN license or compact license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in med/surg and PCU required within the last 3 years
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to assignment start
• First-time travelers must have more than 5 years of RN experience
• Prior travel experience preferred for candidates with less than 5 years of experience
• Skills needed include IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, cardiac drip management, ABG interpretation, ventilator and tracheostomy care, and dysrhythmia management
• PCU or ICU experience strongly preferred

• Provide care to critically ill ICU patients and occasional PCU overflow patients
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Free onsite parking provided
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
• RTO cannot be requested during orientation week and should be kept to a minimum
• Former UW Health staff must be separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a travel RN
• Teaching and trauma hospital experience preferred but not required
