American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring a WI or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS certification, and prior medical-surgical and PCU experience.

• Night shift position with 12-hour shifts from 18:30 to 07:00
• Weekend rotation and every other holiday required
• Standby call required as needed
• Occasional ICU/PCU patients on this unit with all acuity types and ratios
• Patient ratio of 1:3-6
• Floating required as needed
• Uses Cerner charting system
• 48-hour contract may be considered for candidates willing to work more weekends

• Active WI RN license or compact license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in med/surg and PCU required
• Inpatient RN travelers must have two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty being submitted to
• First-time travelers must have more than 5 years of RN experience
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to assignment start
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
• References should not be included in candidate profile

• Provide nursing care across a range of acuity levels including ICU and PCU patients
• Telemetry exam requires 100% identification of lethal rhythms and no more than one incorrect answer on 3rd degree heart block questions for adult exam, plus 80% or higher passing score on both adult and pediatric exams
• Up to two attempts allowed for telemetry exam; a third attempt requires completion of a cardiac interpretation review course
• Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• RTO cannot be requested during orientation week and should be kept to a minimum
• Former UW Health staff must be separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler
• Free onsite parking available
• First-time travelers with strong experience and more than 5 years as an RN will be considered
