Travel LPN - LPN

American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a long-term care unit requiring a WI LPN license and at least 1 year of LTC experience.

• Current WI LPN license or compact license required if applicable
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an LTC LPN required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start, with strict passing criteria for lethal rhythm identification and heart block questions

• Work in a long-term care (LTC) unit
• Duties include admission, discharge, and transfer of patients to hospital for acute care, as well as clerical tasks
• Evening shift, 8-hour shifts from 14:30 to 23:00
• Every other weekend rotation and some holiday coverage required
• Floating to other units as needed
• Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, medication reconciliation, pain assessment, wound care, and isolation precautions
• Experience in rehab, IV/PICC use, and wound care preferred
• LTAC experience preferred
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
• Free onsite parking provided
• RTO cannot be requested during orientation week and should be kept to a minimum
• Former UW Health staff must be separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a travel clinician
• First-time travelers will be considered
