American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of adult and pediatric ED experience and a WI or compact RN license.
Requirements- Active WI RN license or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications (AHA only) required
- NIHSS and TNCC certifications preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years required
- 5+ years of ED experience preferred
- Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting, including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and 80% or higher overall passing score
- Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, central line care, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, ABG interpretation, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and 12-lead EKG/ECG required
- Experience with arterial line management, blood product administration, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management preferred
- Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure required
- Proficiency in isolation precautions/PPE and triage required
- Combined adult/pediatric Emergency Department setting
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from
- Weekend rotation and every other holiday required
- Floating required as needed
- Cerner charting system preferred experience
- Provide emergency care for a combined adult and pediatric patient population
- Perform cardiac monitoring and emergency response including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted
- Free onsite parking available
- Travel experience not required, making this position open to first-time travelers
- Travel pairs are not accepted for this assignment
