Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a leading research and technology firm who is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis.

Title: Procurement Specialist
Location: Hybrid - Beavercreek, OH
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

About the Role:
As a Procurement Specialist, you will help manage the full procurement lifecycle for materials, components, and services in support of the entire organization. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering the chance to transition to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee cradle-to-grave procurement processes in full compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and company policies
  • Partner with internal teams to align procurement efforts with project goals
  • Evaluate products and suppliers according to key business criteria
  • Prepare proposals, request quotes, and negotiate purchasing terms and conditions
  • Issue purchase orders and agreements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving invoice issues
  • Support proposal and pricing activities by obtaining supplier quotes and contributing to cost analysis
  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready procurement documentation, including CPSR reviews
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of procurement experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred (additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • DoD experience and knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and ITAR required
  • Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communicator and team player
  • Subcontracting experience is a plus

Preferred Skills:

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Deltek Costpoint Version 8.0 or higher
  • Proficiency with MS O365 and Adobe Acrobat Pro business software
