Digestive Care, LLC is hiring a Full Time Endoscopy Tech!
Responsibilities- Render professional care to patients undergoing GI and PAIN management procedures within the surgical center in accordance with established procedures.
- Cooperate with physicians and staff, exhibiting teamwork characteristics.
- Prepare equipment and anticipate physician and patient needs for GI procedures.
- Provide general maintenance of the clinical area and equipment.
- Oversee the GI procedures and maintain all aspects of the GI procedure area.
- Assess patients prior to procedure.
- Document intra‑procedure notes.
- Assist physician on all GI procedures.
- Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies in the GI procedure area.
- Clean and maintain equipment per Center policy.
- Assist in Preop and Recovery with turning over bays, discharging patients, basic patient assistance, and stocking.
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Medical assistant certification
- Certification in Operating Room Technology a plus
- Current BLS required
- ACLS preferred
- Knowledge of policies and procedures specific to the OR and GI
- Strong Customer Service Skills
- Manual dexterity to handle instruments quickly
- Must be conscientious, organized and able to handle the stress of a busy operating room & GI lab environment
- Must be able to function as a team player
- Possess the ability to lift 25 pounds
- Must be able to communicate and understand the English language, both written and verbal
