* Certifications & Licenses:
Successful completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant program and Ohio Board of Nursing approved MA-C training. Must obtain and maintain mandatory, state and federal requirements and certifications for practice or occupation
* Other Requirements:
Ability to assist patients during therapy;
Special care/dementia care employees will have additional training in caring for and treating dementia residents;
Ability to communicate effectively with residents and nursing staff and have strong interpersonal skills;
Ability to read, write, understand and speak the English language;
Ability to use computer for charting purposes;
Must be able to operate the following equipment:
Sit to Stand, Hoyer Lift, Gait belts, tub chairs;
Must be dependable;
Must be compassionate to residents and have a true desire and commitment to assist them;
Must be able to work with elderly residents, families and other health care staff members;
Must participate in Continuing Education;
Must be able to adhere to all terms and conditions set forth in the United Church Homes Employee Handbook

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED):

Skills:
Must be able to proficiently use a computer, the Internet and basic office equipment
