We are seeking a Senior Dev Ops Engineer to support our application and algorithm development teams. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in CI/CD, containerization, and cloud-based platform deployments, particularly in C2S and Gov Cloud environments. This role is responsible for automating deployments, meeting security requirements, and deploying scalable solutions that balance performance and cost. This position will be performed from WPAFB.
Active Top Secret security clearance required.
- Automate deployments and maintain scalable, secure cloud and on-prem environments.
- Collaborate with application and algorithm development teams to deliver reliable software.
- Design systems that are auditable and observable, with emphasis on security and compliance.
- Support DoD public cloud deployments in C2S and Gov Cloud and manage Kubernetes platforms.
- Communicate effectively with peers and decision makers, and manage multiple deliverables in parallel.
- Maintain Linux, networking, and system administration fundamentals across environments.
- B.S. in Information Technology or related field
- 10+ years of experience in Dev Ops engineering, system administration, and infrastructure management
- 2+ years of scripting experience (Python, Bash)
- 2+ years of experience managing and deploying applications on Kubernetes (Helm / Kustomize / etc.)
- 2+ years of experience deploying and administering databases (Postgres/MySQL) and messaging systems (Rabbit
MQ/ZeroMQ) - 2+ years of experience with IaC tooling (Terraform, Cloud Formation, Ansible, etc.)
- Familiarity with security compliance tools (e.g., Grype, Fortify)
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Gitlab CI and ArgoCD
- Soft skills:
effective written and verbal communication, ability to juggle multiple projects, and a security/compliance mindset
Education and Experience
- Experience with Argo Workflows and batch- and stream-based processing paradigms
- Leadership and mentorship experience, capable of leading a small team or project group
- Expertise navigating Authority to Operate and NIST 800-53 based risk management
- Familiarity with enterprise processes for Firewall Change Requests (FCRs), Security Impact Determinations (SIDRs) and Change Requests in Service Now workflow systems
