Awetomaton is seeking a Front-End focused Senior Software Engineer to support customers at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. In this role, you will interface with end-users to understand and refine requirements for applications supporting mission needs. You will apply your expertise in JavaScript and modern web frameworks to enable rapid search, discovery, visualization, and retrieval of data. The ideal candidate will possess a BS degree or higher in engineering or related field with 10-15 years of experience.

This position will be largely onsite at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, with convenient access to nearby Beavercreek corporate headquarters for meetings and collaboration. An active Top Secret security clearance is required.

• Communicate effectively in both written and verbal form with peers & decision makers
• Demonstrate initiative when faced with limited guidance or ambiguous requirements
• Be an expert in modern web application technologies including Type Script, React, NodeJS, etc.
• Experience deploying web applications via containerization
• Excellence in UI/UX design

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a software-focused engineering career (Software Engineer, Computer Science, etc.)
• At least 5 years of experience developing web applications with React
• At least 5 years of experience in JavaScript / Type Script, CSS/SASS/LESS, HTML
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related engineering discipline
• Mastery of software configuration management using Git
• Experience with container technology (Docker / Podman / etc.)

• Master of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• In-scope Counter Intelligence (CI) Polygraph
• Background in remote sensing technologies and sensors, especially with Overhead Persistent Infra Red (OPIR) systems
• 10 years of experience developing web applications with modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular)
• 10 years of experience with JavaScript / Type Script, CSS / SASS / LESS, HTML
• Experience following Git Flow and Git Ops workflows using team repositories (Git Hub / Git Lab / etc.)
• Proven excellence in UI/UX design
• Expertise with container technology (Docker / Podman / etc.)
