We are seeking a highly creative and strategic Graphic Designer for a 5-month hybrid role in Beaverton, OR. As a key member of the design team, you will be instrumental in the conceptualization, design, and development of apparel graphics and branding elements. This role demands an exceptional storyteller with a passion for transforming narratives into compelling visual experiences. You will lead the creation of visual centers and artwork for multiple apparel collections each season, collaborating closely with cross-functional partners to align on construction, development, and strategic insights.

You will work closely with dedicated Graphic, Product, and Color Design teams, as well as Product Management and Technical Development teams. This collaborative environment fosters innovation, allowing you to partner with experts to create narrative-driven graphic design across a diverse apparel portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize and develop compelling narratives across multiple apparel collections through graphic visual centers and presentations.
  • Design and create graphic icons, schematics, and artwork for seasonal apparel collections.
  • Collaborate with product and design partners to align on construction, development, and strategic insights.
  • Participate in brainstorm sessions to develop creative strategies and review graphic, apparel, and color designs.
  • Contribute to in-depth research, initiating and implementing findings that lead to distinct product storytelling.
  • Present design concepts and strategies to key stakeholders, articulating the vision and rationale behind creative decisions.
  • Prioritize and manage workload effectively across short-term and long-range projects with varying levels of complexity.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of graphic design experience, preferably in product creation or an agency setting.
  • Proven experience in graphic icon creation, creating schematics, and visual center development.
  • High degree of proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign.
  • A well-curated portfolio showcasing a variety of projects that demonstrate a strong, effective methodology for research, inspiration, design development, problem-solving, process, and final execution, including trim developments, trim pieces, storytelling, and collection graphics across a season.
  • Experience working directly with a diverse range of consumers and athletes.
  • Advanced knowledge of product design, including ideation, development, specification, and final execution of designs that balance innovation, performance, and style.
  • A deep understanding of Typography, Color Theory, Brand Identity, and Design Principles.
  • A passion for storytelling and the ability to translate narratives into compelling visual elements that can translate to a product.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Expertise in narrative development and communication, including preparing and delivering project presentations to senior leadership and external partners.
  • 2+ years of experience specifically in apparel graphics is a nice-to-have.
  • Strong storytelling capabilities that elevate product narratives are a nice-to-have.
  • Proficiency in Figma and Viscom is a nice-to-have.
  • Experience with asset creation for various design needs.
