Pay Rate: $50-55/hr on W2
Base pay range: $50.00/hr - $55.00/hr
Location: Beaverton PHK (WHQ) – Mon–Thurs on site, Friday WFH
Senior-level Apparel Color Designer role.
Responsibilities include:
- Color Design Execution: Plans and executes color designs, collaborates with design, product marketing, development and material consultants, reviews samples, communicates changes.
- Product Execution Knowledge: Shares knowledge, maintains color calendar/timelines, develops line art, color design server, GPIN, merchandising line, cutting samples, coordinates materials, finalizes product details.
- Color Solutions: Creates innovative, retailable color solutions, researches trends, proposes seasonal color strategy, creates seasonal category-specific direction, leads color merchandising strategies.
- Consumer Research: Understands consumer, brand positioning, competitor products, applies insights to color solutions.
- Presentations & Communication: Presents color direction, produces presentation materials, participates in bi-annual color committee preparation.
- Skill Development: Advances value of color, educates and mentors junior designers, undertakes projects to enhance knowledge.
Requirements: Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 5 years directly relevant work experience. Alternative paths:
PhD or Law +3 yrs;
Masters +4 yrs;
Associates +6 yrs;
High School +7 yrs.
Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft tools is a must. Experience in Vizcom AI a plus.
Must be located on Beaverton PHK (WHQ) location. This is a true color design for apparel; experience in color development is essential. Smaller brands not ideal.
