Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption, usage and ultimately guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

  • Communicating and interacting with guests to build a welcoming guest experience
  • Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns
  • Adapting to different guest interactions and situations
  • Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services
Typical Day / Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you perform daily tasks
  • When guests need assistance, engage in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
  • Inform guests of current promos, store activities and events
  • Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve the guest experience
  • Thank guests and let them know you’re happy they chose to shop at Target
  • Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed
  • Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy
  • Explain features and offerings within the Target App including Wallet
  • Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering, and direct guests to enroll, activate and use these features
  • Handle returns according to policy and partner with leadership as needed
  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during open hours
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
  • Work in a safe manner; comply with safety policies, report hazards and take corrective action when possible
  • Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) and DU returns, while complying with applicable laws
  • All other duties based on business needs

  • You are open to a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak shopping times)

  • Accurately handle checkout operations and cash office involvement as needed
