Customer Service Representative
Our client is seeking a Customer Service Representative to support a steady volume of customer orders and inquiries within a structured, process-driven environment. This role is well-suited for someone who is detail-oriented, communicative, and confident working independently while knowing when to ask thoughtful questions. The ideal candidate brings a customer-first mindset, strong follow-through, and the emotional intelligence to navigate a wide range of client interactions with professionalism and enthusiasm.
This role is onsite in Beaverton, Oregon.
Customer Service Representative Responsibilities- Process and modify customer orders received primarily via email, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
- Prepare quotes and pricing responses for RFQs using pre-built tools and reference materials.
- Manage shared order volume by entering, updating, and tracking orders from initiation through fulfillment.
- Respond to daily customer inquiries via phone and email, including order status, shipping timelines, and general support questions.
- Communicate shipping dates and coordinate closely with internal teams to meet delivery commitments.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to customer details, part numbers, pricing, and order changes.
- Identify non-standard or atypical requests, apply sound judgment, and seek clarification when needed.
- Provide coverage support for the broader customer service function as required.
- Prior experience in customer service or order processing within a structured, high-volume environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage repetitive tasks with consistency while remaining attentive to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and diplomatic approach.
- High level of emotional intelligence, including patience, discretion, and the ability to navigate sensitive interactions.
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Experience responding to customer inquiries via phone and email.
- Comfort working with order entry systems and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel).
- Ability to stay organized, manage time effectively, and handle multiple priorities.
- Previous experience with purchase orders, quoting, or order management processes is preferred.
- Background in manufacturing, technical environments, or call center–style order processing is helpful but not required.
