Valley Catholic Middle School seeks an outstanding educator to join our Humanities Department during the school year.

Teaching Assignment Through the end of Semester 1 (January 2027):- Serve in a 7th Grade English instructional support role, working alongside the Humanities or Spanish team and preparing for the transition to the permanent teaching assignment.
- Four sections of 7th Grade History
- One section of 7th Grade English

$45,397 (Bachelor's Degree, Step
0) - $64,602 (Master's Degree, Step 7+), depending on education and experience.
- Design engaging, student-centered learning experiences.
- Teach curriculum aligned with Oregon State Standards and Valley Catholic expectations.
- Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, research, and analytical-thinking skills.
- Use a variety of instructional and assessment strategies to support student growth.
- Create an organized, positive, and respectful classroom culture.
- Build strong relationships with middle school students while maintaining clear expectations.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
- Participate actively in department collaboration, faculty life, and the broader school community.
- Current Oregon Teaching License or ability to obtain appropriate licensure
- Appropriate endorsement in Social Studies and/or Language Arts preferred
- Strong content knowledge in history, literature, and writing
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Passion for teaching and working with middle school students
- Enthusiasm for collaboration and interdisciplinary learning
