General Overview

This entry‑level engineering role supports Tektronix’s global product compliance strategy. The Compliance Engineer will coordinate activities to ensure regulatory compliance across multiple product lines and programs, contributing to new product development and sustaining engineering efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and interpret new and emerging environmental regulations relevant to Tektronix products.
  • Conduct environmental reviews and chemical assessments for customer requests and regulatory mandates.
  • Identify at‑risk components and assemblies; coordinate testing and analysis.
  • Develop and execute compliance plans to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Support new product design and sustaining engineering activities globally.
  • Serve as the technical compliance liaison on assigned new product development teams.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Compliance, Quality, and Engineering teams.
  • Develop and maintain expert‑level knowledge of applicable environmental standards and testing methodologies.
  • Communicate compliance status and risks across global teams.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
  • Knowledge of analytical material testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with mechanical drawings and user documentation.
Preferred
  • Experience with analytical material testing techniques such as XRF and FTIR.
  • Understanding of global environmental regulations, including restricted substances in electronics.
  • Experience with chemical exposure risk analysis for finished goods.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation products and basic electrical principles.
