We are seeking a Junior Structural Engineer for our Beaverton office who will collaborate with a cross‑disciplinary team to support industry leaders. This role offers the opportunity to be on the ground floor of a growing office.
Key Responsibilities
- Design steel structural systems ranging from simple to complex for industrial and semiconductor facilities, including equipment support, seismic design, and equipment anchorage.
- Develop construction documents, drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with design team members in mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines.
- Participate in client design review meetings and present design strategies.
- Prepare specifications and reports.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Understanding of current building codes, particularly IBC, local amendments and ASCE
7. - Familiarity with structural materials (especially steel) and related codes such as ACI and AISC.
- Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
- Strong technical writing and organizational abilities.
- Rapid learning capacity for new engineering concepts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and RISA.
- Dedication, punctuality and commitment to project success.
Education and Experience
- BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- 3+ years of structural engineering design experience.
- Experience with advanced technology and industrial clients is preferred.
- EIT, PE or SE registration.
Please highlight relevant technical skills you possess, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or other structural system software (e.g., RISA). Include past work or volunteer experience, even if non‑engineering related.
