Manager of Sustaining Engineering (Tektronix)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Sustaining Engineering to lead our cross‑functional hardware and software teams in supporting and enhancing existing products. This role is critical to ensuring product reliability, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency throughout the product lifecycle.

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of hardware and software engineers; foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
• Manage day‑to‑day sustaining activities, including issue resolution, product updates, and lifecycle support; drive root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for field issues and manufacturing defects.
• Partner with Product Lines, Quality, Global Operations, and Supply Chain to align priorities, achieve results, and support product lifecycle management.
• Develop and implement best practices for sustaining engineering processes; monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or related field);
  Master’s preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in engineering functions; strong problem‑solving skills and a track record of root‑cause analysis and resolution.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of operations, reliability engineering, and failure analysis techniques.
• Experience with VAVE and A/B testing.
