About the Role
The Front Office Clinic Assistant is responsible for providing support in the front office of the health center which includes accurate data entry, checking-in and checking out patients in a timely manner, preparing paperwork, answering phones, and scheduling appointments.
The Front Office Clinic Assistant supports and promotes the mission of Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette (PPCW) by providing excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and co-workers. PPCW provides confidential and discrete family planning services, including abortions, while maintaining an environment of dignity, trust and respect.
The Front Office Clinic Assistant must have the ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with diverse patients and co-workers; must be able to work independently and as part of a team; must have the willingness and ability to adapt to job-related changes; must exhibit excellent customer service skills and be committed to providing the highest level of patient care.
Schedule ExpectationsThis is a part-time position, (30 hours/week).
Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday 11:30am - 7:30pm 8:00am - 4:00pm 7:30am - 3:30pm 7:30am - 3:30pm

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of work experience in a customer service or high-volume role.
- Ability to perform all of the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Medical Receptionist experience
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
- Basic understanding of insurance billing and ICD-10 coding preferred.
The full wage range for this position is $20.02 to $29.17 hourly. Bilingual Premium Pay is $1.69 per hour, and interpreter-level skills are paid an additional $1.69 ($3.38 hourly). At PPCW we’re proud to calculate a wage offer based on candidate experience, rather than negotiate an offer which leads to pay inequity. New hire wage placement typically does not exceed the midpoint of the wage range.

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Must be able to constantly operate a computer and the other office machinery.
- Needs to occasionally move about the inside of the clinic.
• Environmental demands: exposure to dust/gas/fumes/steam/chemicals; personal protective equipment required; and potential exposure to infectious materials. - Ability to work weekend and evening hours per established schedule.
- May be requested on occasion to travel and work at other locations to meet operational need, upon mutual agreement.
- Attend trainings and staff meetings, as established schedule allows.
This position requires in-person work, meaning you will be working primarily on-site at a PPCW location. All PPCW employees must reside in Oregon or Washington. The on-site work location for this position is our Beaverton Health Center.
