Overview

The Human Resource Assistant provides key administrative support to the Human Resources Department. Vanguard EMS, Inc. is in the service business. What you'll do:
  • Benefit Administration
  • Full-cycle recruiting
  • Track, document and follow-up on action required to manage employee attendance program
  • Perform new hire, job change, and benefits orientations as needed while managing all paperwork.
  • Train personnel on company policies/processes
  • Respond to unemployment claims, requests for information and references as needed
  • Lead and/or participate in team projects and the implementation of company events
  • Performs other duties as assigned
What you'll need:
  • Displays a high-level critical thinking and analysis.
  • Ability to actively follow detailed directions written and verbal
  • Demonstrated highly motivated strong leadership and teambuilding skills with self-motivation, problem solving abilities, team spirit and a "hands on" mentality
  • Advanced level of proficiency in computer systems
  • Demonstrated self-management and strong problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented, accuracy, and thoroughness required.
  • Excellent communication in person, over the phone, email, internet or in writing in a positive and always in a professional manner
Education And/or Experience
  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
  • 1 year HR or Administrative experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience and skills in managing Employees Relations including counseling and internal investigations.
