Technical Architect – Application Development and Modernization
Reporting to North America AMS Practice Head
Department: AMS – Digital & Smart Platform Business Line

We are looking for a Technical Architect to design the structure of our IT systems and oversee programs to ensure the proper architecture is implemented. In this role, you should be an excellent communicator who is able to translate complex requirements into functional architecture. We’d also like you to have hands‑on experience on software development and be able to manage complex programs.
Responsibilities- Design and govern end‑to‑end application architecture for modernization initiatives, including microservices, APIs, and event‑driven systems.
- Lead cloud‑native application development strategies leveraging AWS, Azure, or GCP services.
- Define modernization roadmaps for legacy applications, including re‑platforming, re‑hosting, and refactoring approaches.
- Establish best practices for containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) to ensure scalability and resilience.
- Architect CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops processes for automated builds, testing, and deployments.
- Ensure application security, compliance, and performance optimization across all environments.
- Collaborate with business analysts and product owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and enforce adherence to design principles and standards.
- Guide teams in implementing API‑first strategies and integration patterns for interoperability.
- Mentor development teams on modern frameworks, tools, and emerging technologies.
- Stay current with trends in application modernization, cloud computing, and AI‑driven development, incorporating innovations into solutions.
- Develop reusable templates, accelerators, and reference architectures to improve delivery efficiency.
- Hands‑on experience with software development and system administration.
- Understanding of strategic IT solutions.
- Experience in project management and service‑oriented architecture (SOA).
- Knowledge of selected coding languages (e.g., JavaScript, Java).
- Familiarity with various operating systems (e.g., Windows, UNIX) and databases (e.g., MySQL).
- Experience in cloud technologies (e.g., VMware).
- Excellent communication skills.

- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to lead and mentor teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field;
Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in modern application development frameworks and microservices architecture.
- Expertise in cloud‑native development and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
- TOGAF Certification.
