Essential

Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and closeout of attendee‑facing event technology projects including registration, session scanning, and customer service.
  • Work as lead on small‑to‑medium sized events and in support roles on large programs.
  • Understand all work streams supported by Opus Event Technology & Registration and partner effectively.
  • Independently manage assigned tasks on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, internal stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in digital platforms and tools; consult clients on configuration best practices.
  • Develop, maintain, adhere to, and drive workback schedules.
  • Manage documentation and content for platform/tool builds, translating business objectives into technical specifications.
  • Participate actively in team and client meetings; lead recurring client meetings as needed.
  • Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies; escalate critical issues to senior management.
  • Deliver projects within time and budgetary requirements.
  • Oversee standard onsite deployments, including badge pick‑up, session scanning, and other event technology work streams.
  • Recommend process and resource improvements.
  • Note:

    The role may be placed in staffing assignments including event technology project management/support, registration management/support, housing management/support, and customer service.
Qualifications
  • 2–3+ years of experience in a relevant role, preferably in corporate events with tools such as Rainfocus, Stova, Swoogo, Bizzabo, Cvent, Eventbase, Airtable.
  • Proven experience coordinating projects or events successfully from concept to execution.
  • College degree from a four‑year institution preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Supervises work of project team members from Event Technology & Registration.
  • Oversees work of temporary staff deployed onsite at events.

  • Effective time management to meet deadlines and support team deliverables.
  • Confident communicator with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

  • Adaptable to last‑minute changes and frequent interruptions.
  • Maintains confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Provides constructive feedback professionally.
  • Adaptable to multiple tool suites (Microsoft, Google, Slack, Zoom, , etc.).
  • Solid math skills for analyzing event data and supporting budget management.
  • Interprets and responds to varied instructions and solves non‑standard problems.
How We’ll Take Care Of You

The starting salary for this role is between $60,000 and $70,000. Salary ranges are based on third‑party national average market compensation analysis and may be modified in the future.

Physical Requirements

Individuals will be required to sit for the majority of the day and may be required to stand as needed. May require ability to ambulate on a level surface for periodic periods. Travel via airplane, train, taxi, car, or other means may be required.
