Role DescriptionWe are looking for a Broadband Operations Manager to join our Broadband Professional Services team. You will report to the VP, Broadband Professional Services & PMO and will be based in the U.S. (Remote).
LocationRemote. This position is 100% Remote, based in Mountain or Pacific Time.
What you will be doing:- Bookings Projections: Collaborate with internal partners to develop Broadband Services bookings projections for the year, by quarter, and by region (NAC, LATAM, EMEA, APAC, and Comcast). Partner with Finance to finalize projections.
- Revenue Projections: Work with internal stakeholders to create Broadband Services revenue projections across all regions and finalize with Finance.
- Field
Activities:
Create and manage Field Activities for each PO/SO received with Broadband Services part numbers. Load Field Activities into Smart Sheets Resource Management for team tracking and time allocation. - Financial Analysis: Develop and maintain methods for calculating profitability and operating margin, incorporating labor, overhead, travel, materials, and revenue. Collaborate with the others to automate financial dashboards and reports in Smart Sheets.
- Vendor Management: Oversee onboarding and management of Harmonic contractor partners and suppliers.
- Accounts Payable: Create and monitor PRs and POs for contractor partners and suppliers, ensuring sufficient funding in customer POs. Collaborate with Accounts Payable to ensure timely vendor payments and resolve payment issues.
- Unit Tracking and Invoicing: Track contractor partner and supplier activities aligned to customer invoicing units using Smart Sheets, validate with project team that work has occurred and backup documentation exists, paying contractor partner and suppliers and invoicing the customer.
- Revenue Recognition: Partner with Program Managers to close projects, issue completion notices, and finalize quarterly revenue numbers with Finance.
- Reporting & Presentations: Prepare clear and insightful PowerPoint presentations for leadership, summarizing financial performance, projections, and key operational updates.
- 57 years of experience in operations management, financial planning, or project delivery within a technical or broadband-related environment.
- Experience in outside plant and construction projects is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and proven ability to interpret financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Proficiency with tools such as Smart Sheets, Apptus, and financial reporting platforms.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and optimizing operational performance.
This position requires travel not more than 15% of time.
Pay & BenefitsFor this role, the estimated base salary range is between $90,000 - $110,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market, location, and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
