Who You'll Work With

The North America Brand Merchandising team connects sport, consumer, product and marketplace strategies to deliver a cohesive Nike offense. This role reports to the Senior Director of North America Brand Merchandising, leads the Footwear Brand Merchandising team, and partners closely with Sport, Channel, Nike Direct, Planning, Finance, Brand and Global Merchandising teams.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a strategic, consumer-obsessed footwear merchandising leader who can see across sports, franchises, price points and channels, then turn complexity into clear choices and action. The right candidate combines deep footwear and marketplace expertise with strong commercial judgment, analytical rigor and an instinct for product. They can move fluidly from long-range portfolio strategy to seasonal execution, using consumer, business and competitive insights to identify growth opportunities and sharpen the line.

This leader must be comfortable influencing without direct authority, building alignment across diverse teams and constructively challenging the status quo. They communicate with clarity, make decisions with conviction and create the conditions for others to do their best work. They will bring a collaborative, team-first leadership style and a commitment to coaching and developing talent.

  • Bachelor's degree in merchandising, business, marketing or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
  • 8+ years of relevant merchandising, product, retail, buying, planning or related experience; footwear experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build consumer-led merchandising strategies and translate insights into portfolio, franchise, assortment and marketplace recommendations.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical capability, with experience using financial, consumer and marketplace data to make decisions and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Proven people leadership and cross-functional influence, with the ability to lead through ambiguity, manage multiple seasonal priorities and communicate a clear point of view.
What You'll Work On

You will lead the holistic North America footwear merchandising strategy across sport, channel and marketplace priorities. You will guide the team through long-range line planning and seasonal execution, shape critical portfolio and franchise choices, and build alignment around the footwear opportunities that matter most for consumers and the business.

  • Lead the North America x-sport footwear strategy, connecting consumer, marketplace and business priorities across the total portfolio.
  • Drive footwear portfolio and franchise excellence, including priority classifications, consumer choice zones, price-value opportunities, lifecycle decisions and marketplace distinction.
  • Translate consumer, competitive, financial and marketplace insights into clear recommendations for line planning, assortment creation, seasonal readiness and go-to-market milestones.
  • Lead x-sport footwear integration for key Brand and consumer moments, ensuring product priorities and stories come together as a cohesive Nike offense.
  • Partner with Sport, Channel, Nike Direct, Sales, Planning, Finance, Brand, Global Merchandising and product creation teams to align strategy, resolve tradeoffs and enable execution.
  • Own and evolve seasonal footwear tools and operating rhythms, bringing clarity to priorities, decision points, ownership and follow-through.
  • Lead, coach and develop the Footwear Brand Merchandising team while strengthening merchandising excellence, accountability and an inclusive, high-performing team culture.
