Setup Technician - Plastic Injection Molding

Overview

• Set up molds and mold tooling; read specifications to determine machine set-up, temperatures, and times.
• Perform preventive maintenance on injection molds and troubleshoot machine processes.
• Repair and maintain machines and auxiliary equipment using hand and power tools.
• Enter molding parameters in the press.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least two years of recent experience in an injection molding environment.
• Excellent math skills and ability to read blueprints and other engineering drawings.
• Knowledge and ability to use various hand tools; basic PC and internet skills.
• Strong written/verbal communication; good decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under time constraints with changing priorities; regular and predictable attendance.

• Ability to set-up molds and troubleshoot machine processes.
• Ability to read specifications and interpret technical drawings.
• Ability to operate and maintain machinery and auxiliary equipment.
