Medication Technician – Swing Shift

Job Overview

Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
  • Monitor, document, and report changes in residents’ health or behavior
  • Perform delegated tasks such as blood sugar testing or insulin administration (as assigned)
  • Maintain proper storage and management of medications
  • Take and record vital signs
  • Communicate with nurses, physicians, and pharmacies to ensure continuity of care
  • Act as a leader and point person during your shift, including responding to emergencies
  • Maintain a clean, organized medication room and accurate documentation
  • Collaborate closely with caregivers and other team members to support resident well‑being
Shift Details
  • Swing Shift: 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm, Sunday to Thursday
Qualifications
  • Minimum age 18
  • Previous experience in a Med Tech role
  • Passion for serving seniors and making a difference every day
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with EMAR systems
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand or walk up to eight hours per day
  • Must be able to lift/push up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to lift, stand, bend, squat, crawl, reach, and kneel using good body mechanics for sustained periods of time
