Safety Engineer

We are assembling a world-class technology team and want a Safety Engineer who can write RabbitMQ that performs under pressure. We're hiring a senior Safety Engineer to join BKD on a contract basis, with $124,000 - $179,000 on offer and genuine room to advance.

• Ship the fast-moving Python features that move BKD's technology roadmap forward
• Identify bottlenecks and propose architectural improvements proactively
• Decode the undocumented Next.js service nobody at BKD remembers writing
• Integrate third-party services and internal tools into the BKD stack
• Walk technology stakeholders through Stakeholder Management tradeoffs in language BKD execs grasp
• Wrangle PostgreSQL config across environments so Beaverton staging mirrors production

• Enough PostgreSQL to be dangerous, enough MongoDB to be trusted
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 7 years of learning when to trust the process and when to break it
• Proven aptitude for gRPC, ideally near Beaverton, OR
• Familiarity with BKD-scale workflows, or the appetite to reach them

BKD is the make-it-better company technology professionals across OR reach for when the cheap option finally breaks. Our Beaverton team would rather over-communicate than leave a teammate guessing at midnight.

Yours for the taking: $124,000 - $179,000, a mentor, a benefits plan, and the room to grow your AWS and Python side by side.

The freshness clock just ticked over, and this Safety Engineer slot stays open.

The version of you that already works at BKD is just one application ahead.
