Material Handler Driver at Acme Construction Supply
Hourly Rate: $21/hour + Monthly incentive bonus after 90 days of employment.
Shift: Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m.
- 7:00 p.m.
Summary: The Material Handler/Delivery Driver is primarily responsible for fulfilling orders, organizing inventory, unloading delivery trucks, and making safe and timely deliveries to customers.
Responsibilities- Material Handler:
- Locate material and pull orders using established RF/warehouse procedures.
- Unload product using forklift and hand loading, and place product accurately in designated warehouse areas.
- Check incoming product using RF/warehouse procedures, ensuring deliveries match purchase orders.
- Meet or exceed order pulling accuracy and inventory accuracy goals.
- Prepare and assemble products for custom non-stock orders, including labeling and wrapping.
- Operate equipment and machinery such as forklifts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse, complying with safety procedures.
- Participate in RF and operations training as assigned.
- Delivery Driver:
- Operate company vehicle safely and courteously, following all road rules.
- Verify daily vehicle maintenance and report issues to the Warehouse Manager.
- Maintain interior cleanliness and organization of vehicles.
- Comply with DOT requirements and company safety policies.
- Plan deliveries and routes to maximize efficiency and meet timing deadlines.
- Manifest jobs in delivery sequence for customer notifications.
- Compare paperwork with truck product for order accuracy.
- Inspect and secure all loads on the truck.
- Load product onto trucks using forklift and hand loading; unload and deliver to job sites.
- Take delivery photos using the Innovo app.
- Report discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager promptly.
- Pick up return product and ensure it is processed by the appropriate department.
- Minimum one year experience in a similar position.
- Experience with RF devices.
- Experience with forklift operation and certification maintenance.
- Clean driving record and ability to drive various vehicles, including trucks up to 2‑ton flatbed diesel.
- Must be 21 years of age to meet auto insurance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and record‑keeping skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Professional interaction with employees, customers, and vendors.
- Understanding of safe warehouse practices.
- Self‑disciplined and capable of completing critical tasks independently with urgency.
- Require frequent sitting, walking, hand use, reaching, standing, and light to moderate lifting up to 50 lbs. at heights up to 4 feet.
- Must move or traverse considerable distances during the workday.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, climb and descend ladders for shelving access.
- Safe operation of dolly, pallet jack, and forklift for loading and unloading supplies.
- All weather driving.
