CNC Machinist​/Toolmaker

Overview

Permanent Role as a CNC Machinist / Toolmaker. You are an innovative thinker, passionate about the planet and eager to contribute to sustainable packaging that keeps the world healthy, fed and working. You will manufacture new tooling and associated ancillary components, maintain existing tooling, and provide engineering support to production units as required. You will report to the Toolroom Manager.

Working hours:

Monday to Thursday 07:00–16:00, Friday 07:00–13:00.

• Manufacture new tooling using all types of machine, tools and equipment.
• Maintain existing tooling and provide engineering support to all production areas as required.
• Adhere to policies and procedures relating to health and safety, quality and environment management.
• Keep the work area clean, tidy and safe following company standards.
• Note:
  
  The post holder may be required to perform other duties; duties may vary without changing the general character of the post.

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification.
• Clear and proven experience in a technical environment and engineering skills.
• Milling and turning experience.
• Competence in CNC machining (preferable Hurco and Fanuc software experience).
• Ability to work on own initiative and take accountability for duties/actions.
• Confidence to challenge existing practices and pursue continuous improvement.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with colleagues and Toolroom customers.
• Ability to work as part of a team to achieve objectives.
