About the roleWorking within the Toolroom, you'll manufacture new tooling, maintain existing tooling and provide engineering support to production areas. You'll use a variety of machining equipment, including CNC machinery, to produce high-quality components and ensure tooling remains in optimum condition.Key responsibilities

• Manufacture new tooling and ancillary components
• Maintain, repair and modify existing tooling
• Operate CNC milling and turning machinery
• Work from engineering drawings and specifications
• Provide engineering support to production teams
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement

What we're looking for

• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (or equivalent)
• Proven experience within a machining, toolmaking or engineering environment
• CNC machining experience
• Milling and turning skills
• Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills

Desirable:

• Experience with Hurco and/or Fanuc control systems
• Previous Toolmaking experience
