AboutThe Role
The Detailer cleans, refurbishes, and finishes new and used automobiles according to dealership and manufacturer standards. This role ensures vehicles are prepared to the highest quality for customer delivery and showroom presentation.
Key Responsibilities- Wash vehicle exteriors and clean interior/exterior windows
- Wipe down doorjambs and ensure all surfaces are clean
- Apply wax and buff vehicle surfaces
- Vacuum vehicle interiors to remove dirt and debris
- Clean upholstery, carpets, and surfaces using proper cleaning agents and equipment
- Apply revitalizers and preservation agents to vinyl, leather, and fabric surfaces
- Clean engines and engine compartments using appropriate equipment
- Remove foreign materials using special-purpose cleaners
- Inspect vehicles for noticeable defects such as scratches, dents, or upholstery issues
- Restore appearance of interior, exterior, and engine areas using proper tools and products
- Use personal protective equipment when required
- Fill vehicles with fuel as needed
- Apply tire dressing and clean wheel wells
- Replace small missing or defective parts as needed
- Maintain showroom and stock vehicles in presentable condition
- Ensure proper stickers are displayed or removed on vehicles
- Keep work area neat, clean, and safe
- Operate all tools and equipment safely
- Report safety issues immediately to management
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- Previous detailing or automotive cleaning experience preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning products, tools, and techniques helpful
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work efficiently and meet time standards
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
Work Environment Fast-paced shop and lot areas with frequent movement between vehicles and cleaning stations.
