Beckley VA Medical Center is a Joint Commission accredited, complexity level II facility serving Veterans in 11 counties in southern West Virginia. The medical center opened its doors to Veterans on March 1, 1951, and today it is a 13-bed general medical/surgical and 5-bed intensive care facility with a 40-bed community living center.
ResponsibilitiesImaging provides Radiology & Nuclear Medicine subspecialty services, inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care to the Veterans. The Imaging Service is one of the largest clinical departments with specialty sections including Interventional Radiology, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Diagnostic Radiology, MRI and PACS. Each of these divisions has its own special procedure and system of workflow, scheduling, quality monitoring and maintenance, and compliance with standards and regulations.
