Perform basic nursing skills and assist under the direction of physicians, advanced practice professionals, and registered nurses.
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
- Current National Certification as CMA.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
- One (1) year of healthcare experience.
- Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms; collects initial information and vital signs.
- Prepares exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and supply availability.
- Assists with and/or performs exams, tests, and procedures.
- Schedules appointments and establishes referral contacts as needed.
- Assists providers during patient examinations and procedures.
- Educates patients on follow‑up expectations.
- Maintains quality‑control testing logs as required.
- Ensures all medical equipment is in proper working condition.
- Assists patients with completion of medical documentation.
- Medium work: can exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, or 10 pounds constantly.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, rotate, stand, and walk for an 8‑12 hour shift.
- Working closely with others.
- Working protracted or irregular hours.
- Exposure to biohazards and infectious diseases.
- Working with hands in water.
- May be required to travel between facilities.
- Effective communication with staff and patients.
- Adaptability to changing environments.
- Software proficiency and learning agility.
- Organizing and prioritizing work.
