Type: Full-Time

RN Director of Quality & Risk to lead quality improvement, risk management, and patient safety initiatives across the organization. This role will oversee quality programs, regulatory compliance, and risk reduction strategies to ensure high performance in patient outcomes, safety standards, and hospital-wide quality metrics.

The ideal candidate is a strong nurse leader with acute care experience and a proven background in quality programs, regulatory readiness, and performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership for hospital-wide Quality Improvement and Risk Management programs.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes and compliance performance.
  • Oversee patient safety programs including risk identification, mitigation strategies, and event reporting workflows.
  • Drive process improvements aligned with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Lead preparation for surveys, audits, and regulatory inspections.
  • Monitor quality indicators and performance dashboards; prepare leadership reports and action plans.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership, providers, and interdisciplinary teams to strengthen safety culture and reduce risks.
  • Support investigations, root cause analyses (RCA), and corrective action planning related to clinical events.
Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)
  • Active West Virginia RN License (required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) (required)
  • Previous Quality experience (required)
  • 5+ years as an RN in Acute Care (required)
  • Strong clinical knowledge, communication skills, and ability to lead quality initiatives across departments
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-To-Haves)
  • CPHRM certification (ideal; will be required within 2 years of employment)
  • CPPS certification (ideal; will be required within 2 years of employment)
