Nursing Director (RN) - Cardiovascular Services / Cath Lab
Join Raleigh General Hospital as Nurse Director for the Cardiovascular Services Department. Lead a high‑volume cardiac catheterization laboratory that performs approximately 1,200 procedures annually and supports 24/7 STEMI coverage.
About Our TeamThe Cardiovascular Services Department offers comprehensive care, including catheter‑based interventions, peripheral vascular procedures, vein care, and wound care. A multidisciplinary team delivers coordinated, high‑quality services for complex cardiovascular and vascular conditions.
How You'll Contribute- Serve as the accountable leader for all aspects of Cardiovascular Services.
- Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive strategic plan covering ambulatory, acute, post‑acute, and community care.
- Drive continuous improvement in outcomes, cost, and patient satisfaction.
- Design and evaluate new programs and innovations to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with quality leadership to ensure accreditation compliance and foster a highly reliable organization.
- Partner with other service line leaders, facility leadership, and system executives for consistent, patient‑centered care.
- Support provider and staff recruitment, retention, and engagement.
- Ensure financial performance of the Cardiovascular Service line.
- Demonstrate hospital values through inspirational leadership and commitment to patient outcomes.
- Recruits, mentors, and develops perioperative nursing staff and fosters teamwork and accountability.
- Oversee staff education, competency, and adherence to clinical and patient safety standards.
Full‑time, Exempt, benefited position.
What We're Looking For- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Current WV RN license (or eligible for licensure).
- 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in Cardiovascular Services.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and build relationships with surgeons and anesthesia providers.
- Experience with budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation in surgical or acute care settings.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting data and implementing performance‑improvement initiatives.
- BLS and ACLS required (or obtainable within a defined timeframe).
