As the Director of Perioperative Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of optimum quality patient care. Serving as a reference and resource person for staff, patients, and families, you will coordinate patient care across various departments. With 24-hour responsibility for unit activities, you will evaluate staff and unit performance to enhance overall effectiveness.

• Assess units, patients, and staff to ensure high-quality care.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments for seamless collaboration.
• Assume 24-hour responsibility for unit activities, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
• Plan for meeting the diverse needs of patients, staff, physicians, and the hospital.
• Initiate self-development mechanisms for continuous professional growth.
• Deliver direct patient care appropriate to the age of the patient served.

Graduate from a School of Nursing/College Education Program. BSN or advanced education preferred.

• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to thrive in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) to be obtained within 30 days.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) to be obtained within 6 months.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be obtained within 6 months.
• Required Licenses:
• Current licensure by the [West Virginia, United States] State Board of Nursing.
