American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of specialty experience and WV or compact RN licensure.

• Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of an expanding hospital unit
• Patient ratios of 1:5-7
• Meditech EMR used
• Night shift schedule (3x12 and 4x12 rotating, 19:00-7:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope of practice
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated

• Active WV or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AVADE Level I & II preferred)
• Minimum 2 years current Med/Surg Tele experience required
• 3-6 months Level IV Trauma experience or above required
• Skills in IV therapy, central/PICC line care, blood product administration, and cardiac monitoring
• Experience managing respiratory, GI, neurological, and cardiovascular patient needs
• 2 professional references required, one from a charge nurse or higher and one from a supervisor, both completed within the last year
• Driver's license required, with address matching permanent address
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered case-by-case)

• Care for cardiac telemetry, neurological, and post-surgical patient populations
• Manage cardiac drips (no titration), interpret and manage dysrhythmias, and monitor chemotherapy patients
• Must be willing to work an 84-hour biweekly schedule (one week 3x12, next week 4x12)
• Up to 7 days RTO considered if presented upfront; no changes accepted once submitted
• Must work either a major or minor holiday each holiday period
• Local candidates not accepted; must live outside a 75-mile radius of the facility
• Travelers must take a minimum 6-month break after working one year before returning
• Travel pairs accepted on a limited basis and will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit
