Job Overview
A communications contractor is seeking experienced Aerial Construction Crew Members to support broadband infrastructure projects in the West Virginia market. Technicians will work in two-person field teams (including a ground hand/helper) and contribute to various HFC/Broadband buildouts such as BAU, spans, relocations, Hyperbuild, Newbuild, and Metro-E deployments.
Key Responsibilities- Perform aerial cable construction tasks including overlashing, strand deployment, pole mounting and transfers, anchor installation, make-readies, fiber and coaxial cable pulling, splicing (if qualified; otherwise, dedicated splicers provided), read and interpret blueprints and construction documents, produce post-construction as‑builts and mark‑ups, execute work with a focus on safety, quality, and production efficiency, and collaborate with construction coordinators while adhering to project standards.
Skills Required
- 3+ years in aerial power or telecommunications construction
- Proficiency in overlashing, pole transfers, coax/fiber installation, anchors, strand, and make-readies
- Strong understanding of HFC, fiber, or coaxial scopes of work
- Ability to read blueprints and produce accurate as‑builts
- Demonstrated ability to manage work execution and production
- Commitment to maintaining safety standards and compliance
- Knowledge of HFC network design
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Punctuality and reliability (7:00 AM start time)
- Willingness to be on‑call for after‑hours emergencies
- Valid driver’s license
- Fluent in English
- Ability to lift 25 lbs or more
- High School Diploma or GED

Contract to Hire position based out of Beckley, WV.
Pay and BenefitsPay range: $25.00 – $35.00/hr.
