High School Coach/Tutor/Teacher Wanted

Oxford Learning Halifax is currently seeking motivated part‑time tutors to join our dedicated team. As a Tutor/Teacher at Oxford Learning, you will play a key role supporting students in Grades 9‑12. This role is in‑person, so you must be able to commute to this location. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

• Teach up to 3 students at a time, following our proven teaching methodologies.
• Provide personalized instruction in a range of math and science subjects, including advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, physics, chemistry, and biology.
• Fill out post‑lesson notes and communicate student progress.
• Maintain a friendly, encouraging, and professional demeanor at all times.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Strong math and science knowledge, aligned with the current high‑school curriculum.
• Prior experience coaching or tutoring math and/or science at the secondary level.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work with students at different levels.

• Part‑time hours, Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday evenings 4 pm – 7 pm.

Part‑time. Salary range: $19 – $20 per hour to start.
