Assistant Packaging Supervisor

Lead packaging operations at Nortera in Bedford, using production planning and quality checks during overnight Sunday through Thursday shifts. Support ready-to-cook vegetable production for major brands.
As Assistant Packaging Supervisor, you collaborate with the Supervisor under the Director of Operations. You help meet departmental performance indicators through production scheduling, equipment adjustments, employee management, and product safety. Nortera produces private and retail brands, including Arctic Gardens and Del Monte.

Key Responsibilities:

Validate production schedules and plan the current day
Start lines and verify operating speeds against standards
Adjust packaging equipment, scales, printers, and palletizers
Check production components, codes, seals, and box markings
Supervise operations, employees, product changes, and order completion
Requirements:
Zero to two years of industrial environment experience
High school diploma or equivalent experience
Ability to follow pre-established procedures consistently
Ability to work with a low margin of error
Effective communication skills
