We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to be the primary site accounting resource for the Bedford manufacturing facility while partnering closely with the North America finance team. This role blends hands‑on transactional work (GL, AP/AR, reconciliations, work papers) with financial reporting and analysis, with clear runway to grow into an Accounting Manager–level position as the facility and region expand.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day accounting for the site, including GL entries, account reconciliations, and coordination with local AP/AR.
- Support payroll-related accounting and site‑level cash flow activities.
- Prepare and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including journal entries, accruals/deferrals, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting packages.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and basic price/volume/mix and sales analysis.
- Maintain and track fixed assets and capital projects, ensuring proper capitalization and depreciation.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.
- Partner with the North America finance team on ERP/Net Suite implementation, system integration, and process improvements.
- Support ad hoc projects, including cost accounting initiatives and acquisition‑related integration work.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Finance considered with strong GL experience).
- 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing and/or public accounting with industrial or multi‑entity clients.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, fundamental GL concepts, and how the income statement and balance sheet tie together.
- Hands‑on experience with ERP/accounting systems (Net Suite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with reconciliations, work papers, and supporting schedules.
- CPA or CMA, or active pursuit of a professional certification is preferred.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment and/or cost accounting is preferred.
