General
Summary:
Under the guidance of the Health Care Consultant, the College for Kids Health Supervisor provides review, direction, daily oversight and direct interaction with students on health-related issues and requirements pertaining to the College for Kids programs. The Summer 2026 College for Kids program runs Monday-Thursday from July 13 to August 13, 2026, on the Bedford Campus. Training for this position begins in May or June 2026.
and Responsibilities
- Ensure the health and safety of students and staff; provide first aid and dispense medication
- Review Emergency Procedure Manual, prior to camp
- Perform a medical supplies audit, prior to camp
- Attend Health Record Review with Health Care Consultant and College for Kids staff
- Review Health Records through Camp Doc, email and call parents for clarifying information
- Communicate specific health needs of campers to staff
- Maintain health records according to Clinical Guidelines for School Nurses
- Participate as a member of an emergency response team that coordinates appropriate action in an emergency
- Provide support to instructors in the classroom for health related issues
- Provide support at lunch and recess
- Attend and participate in the Instructor Orientation prior to the start of College for Kids
- Conduct an Instructor meeting each week to address any health issues of campers
- Conduct a Monday Morning Walkie-Talkie Radio Check with all Instructors
- Massachusetts licensed physician assistant, nurse practitioner, registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, EMT, or other applicable first aid credentials
- Current certification in First Aid, AED/CPR
- Experience working with children and/or youth programs
- Ability to comprehend and comply with Department of Public Health summer camp regulations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, make sound judgments, and adapt to changing schedules in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
- Ability to use MS Office, spreadsheet, database, and Internet software applications
Salary Range: $26.75 per hour in accordance with MCC's Part-Time Wage Schedule
Location: Bedford campus
Hours: 32 hours per week, 8:15 am - 4:15 pm, Monday-Thursday during July and August. The schedule and hours per week are contingent upon the needs of the program.
